BEFORE THE TIMELINE

Get the words right. Then keep editing.

SubtitleGenerator handles transcription and review in the browser. You bring the reviewed subtitle file into Adobe Premiere Pro for the final edit.

01

Upload the final cut

Use the same video edit you will subtitle so cue timings stay aligned.

02

Run the Fix Loop

AI flags low-confidence words. Listen in context and clear only what needs attention.

03

Choose your finish

Preview readable caption styles or export a clean subtitle file for your NLE.

04

Continue in Premiere Pro

Import the reviewed SRT, place it on the timeline, and finish your project.

WHY FIX LOOP

Stop replayingevery line.

A transcript can be mostly right and still contain the one name, number, or phrase your audience notices. Fix Loop collects those uncertain moments into one short queue.

  • Jump directly to flagged words
  • Hear each word in context
  • Accept a suggestion or keep the original
  • Reach “All clear” before export

PREMIERE PRO IMPORT

From reviewed textto your timeline.

Menu names can vary slightly by software version, but the handoff is the same: export a timed SRT and import it alongside the matching cut.

  1. 01

    Upload the matching final cut

Upload the same exported cut you will use in Premiere Pro. If the picture edit changes later, subtitle timings will need to move with it.

  2. 02

    Review the Fix Loop

Listen to each flagged word in context, correct names and numbers, then clear the review queue before downloading.

  3. 03

    Export a UTF-8 SRT file

Choose Subtitle file and SRT in the export dialog. Keep the SRT beside the matching source video so the pair is easy to identify.

  4. 04

Import the SRT into Premiere Pro

Import the SRT into your project, then add it to the sequence as captions. Review the first and last cue to confirm sync before styling.

COMMON FIXES

Avoid the subtitleround trip.

Most import problems come from changing the video cut or expecting SRT to preserve visual styles.

Captions drift after a few edits

The SRT was generated from a different cut. Regenerate from the locked edit, or adjust the caption track after every ripple edit.

Fonts and colors did not import

That is expected: SRT contains wording and timing only. Apply a caption track style inside Premiere Pro.

The first caption starts too early

Check whether the Premiere sequence has an intro, slate, or offset missing from the uploaded file. Align the media and subtitle start points.

A name is still misspelled

Correct proper nouns in Fix Loop before export. If you already imported the file, update the cue in Premiere or replace the SRT.

FAQ

Before you export

Can Premiere Pro import SRT subtitle files?

Yes. Current Premiere Pro versions can import SRT files as captions. Exact menu labels and caption controls can vary by version.

Does the exported SRT keep my SubtitleGenerator style?

No. SRT stores text and timing, not visual design. Style the caption track in Premiere Pro, or export a video with captions burned in.

Can I try the subtitle generator without signing up?

Yes. You can open the editor and try transcription without creating an account. Subtitle-file export is a Pro or Max capability.

Does uploading a video send the whole file to a server?

The original video stays in your browser for preview and export. SubtitleGenerator extracts audio locally and sends the audio for speech-to-text.

Should I subtitle before or after editing in Premiere Pro?

Use a locked or nearly final cut. Generating subtitles too early creates extra timing work whenever the edit changes.
