These terms cover your use of SubtitleGenerator (also referred to as ClearCue in the product). By using the service you agree to them. Our Privacy notice explains how data is handled; our Refund policy covers money-back requests.
Your content and responsibility
Use the service only for media you have the right to process. You keep ownership of your videos, transcripts, and exports. You grant us only the limited rights needed to run the features you request (for example forwarding extracted audio or subtitle text to providers when you start transcription or translation).
Captions are generated with automated speech and language tools. They can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting subtitles before you publish or rely on them.
Plans, minutes, and pay-as-you-go
Free, Pro, Max, and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) minute packs follow the prices, limits, and feature lists shown on Pricing and at checkout. Checkout return pages alone do not add credits—verified payment events control entitlements.
Processing minutes are consumed when you run billable AI work, including standard transcription, High Accuracy (uses more minutes per second of audio), range re-transcribe, and translation. Free monthly minutes refresh on the schedule described in the product; they do not roll over unless we say otherwise.
PAYG packs add capacity only. Buying minutes does not unlock Pro or Max capabilities (for example HD export without watermark, subtitle file downloads, range re-transcribe, translate, or High Accuracy). Subscription minutes are used before PAYG when both are available.
Undo is not a refund
Undo and redo in the editor restore local caption content and do not by themselves call AI providers. Undoing a completed transcription, re-transcribe, or translation does not restore processing minutes already consumed for that request. Caption density rebuilds from stored ASR on your device do not consume processing minutes.
Canceling a subscription
You can cancel a paid subscription from Account. Cancellation takes effect as described in the product (typically immediately for our current billing flow): Pro/Max capabilities lock, and unused subscription processing minutes from that plan are cleared. Unused PAYG minutes remain available. Free monthly minutes are not re-granted for a month if you already received that month’s Free allotment.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse free or paid capacity (for example automated farming of Free minutes), attempt to bypass plan limits, disrupt the service, or use the product for unlawful content. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect the service, other users, or to comply with law.
Availability and changes
We provide the service on a commercially reasonable basis. Features, providers, pricing, and limits may change; material changes will be reflected on Pricing, in-product notices, or this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
